Mimi’s DWI Defense Background

Mimi is a certified NHTSA field sobriety practitioner and instructor. Notably, she is among a rare group of lawyers to complete both Borkenstein alcohol and drug courses. This is the same training used by state toxicologists. Her technical skills include Intoxilyzer 5000 training and DRE drug recognition review. Furthermore, she mastered blood testing science at Axion Labs’ gas chromatography school.

Mimi’s Practical Experience

Mimi truly understands DWI defense because she has lived the requirements. She completed the 12-hour DWI Education course and the MADD Victim Impact Panel. To gain insight, she used a Smart Start interlock device and a Soberlink home unit for months. As a “social drinker,” she knows the full experience of alcohol consumption. This history gives her a unique perspective on what her clients face.

A Passion for DWI Defense

Mimi has taught DWI defense to lawyers nationwide since 1999. Her work began with a local Tarrant County seminar. Later, she founded Cowtown CLE, her own dedicated seminar company. Ultimately, her passion led to extensive nonprofit leadership with the TCDLA and the NCDD.
