Cainan Balagia was born in Austin, Texas, and graduated Salutatorian from his high school in San Antonio, Texas.
After high school, Cainan was selected to be an Oral Roberts University Honors Program Fellow at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Cainan graduated with highest honors and received the President’s Award and the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award for Government ‘16.
After completing his undergraduate studies, Cainan received his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. While working towards his degree, Cainan completed nearly 200 hours of pro bono work and volunteered with the Texas Law INCLUDE Project and the Inside Books Project. Cainan participated in the UT Criminal Defense Clinic, where he represented clients on misdemeanor charges in Travis county under the supervision of a licensed attorney.
Today, Cainan is an unlicensed attorney engaged in supervised practice in the Fort Worth Office of The Coffey Firm When Cainan is not in the office, he is preparing for the September administration of the Texas Bar Exam.
